Verulamium Park and its future
A plan to improve the park and many of its best known features has been developed with the assistance of funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Parks for People Scheme.
Over 1,000 local residents, schools and groups took part in a community consultation to develop the proposals in a master plan for the park.
The master plan has now been submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund for resources of £2m. St Albans District Council has also pledged match funding. News of the outcome of the bid is expected in September 2008.

Park plan funding bid
A funding bid for £2m of improvements to Verulamium Park is to be submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) at the end of March. The outcome of the bid will be announced by the end of September 2008.
The submission is based on a masterplan which outlines the improvements in the whole of the park.
